LAOANG, Northern Samar- The DPWH-Northern Samar Second District Engineering Office (NSSDEO) is fast tracking the construction of the Construction of By Pass and Diversion Road in San Roque, Northern Samar.
The DPWH allocated P46.7 million from F.Y. 2021 – Regular Infrastructure for the project that covers the widening/concreting of the 1.259.62-kilometer roadway, including the installation of 153.00 set of solar street light with accessories and concrete pedestal.
As of June 2021, the construction of the said project has an actual accomplishment of 61.31% under contract of ESD Cruz Construction & Supply.
The construction of San Roque By-Pass road which started last January 28, 2021 is expected to be completed this August 25, 2021. This road widening project will help in the decongestion of the town center, and at the same time improve road user’s safety.
Also by-pass road serves as the fastest alternate road of motorists as it evades the busy area of San Roque town proper.
Further, this aims to facilitate safer and more convenient alternative route of travelers along Pambujan-San Roque-Mondragon Road. (Rey M. Orsua/PR)
